Photo Album The Tilotta family's hotel (fully
renovated in 2003) is in the centro storico of this ancient
mountain village (with 'magnificent' views of Trapani below) in
north-west Sicily. 'Not cheap, but probably the best value of
our tour,' said a reader who found 'a warm welcome and excellent
family-based service'. 'Our excellent double room, newly
furnished, had a sitting area and a comfortable, large bed. The
superb dinner was enlivened by an invitation to the kitchen
where chef/ proprietor Carmelo Tilotta, an Albert Einstein
lookalike, showed us how to cook tuna on a volcanic stove.
Breakfast was above average.' There is a panoramic terrace for
summer meals. The hotel, a 'clever blend of new (bedrooms) and
old (public areas, with pictures and books)', is in a narrow
street: best park in the public car park_and walk up (100 metres);
luggage will be fetched.
